          CAS_08 Hellenistic Ruler is an AI sculpture by the artist Egor Kraft (Saint Petersburg, Russia, 1986). In his studies on classical busts and Greco-Roman sculpture, he introduces the latest technology, creating a direct dialogue between the past, the present, and the future. The temporary and fleeting nature of AI and the permanence and transcendence of classical sculpture come into conflict, giving rise to the ground-breaking work of the Russian artist. The changing territories in which reality and misrepresentation merge are the artist’s home and inspiration. His practice combines incisive reflection on current affairs with a clever use of emerging media.
