The human figure has captivated Sunshine for much of his artistic career. This portrait reflects his interest in the digital world of art-making. With his iPad, Sunshine snaps un-staged photographs of women he has come to know – capturing their poise, composure, and self-assurance –and then manipulates the colors, shapes, and lines to the point of reaching an effect similar to painting with watercolor.
