The Short-Lived Prodigy of Poltava

Vsevolod Maksymovych remains one of the most captivating enigmas of the early twentieth-century Ukrainian avant-garde. His formal training began at the Kyiv Drawing School under the guidance of Mykola Murashko, providing him with a robust foundation in classical technique. This academic rigor was later refined during his studies at the Imperial Academy of Arts in Saint Petersburg.
