Jego twórczość należy do nurtu abstrakcji organicznej – tworzył abstrakcyjne rzeźby o zaokrąglonych kształtach i wygładzonych powierzchniach. Przyczynił się do powstania dadaizmu oraz Surrealizmu i pozostawił po sobie ogromną liczbę dzieł sztuki, które są cenione zarówno przez krytyków artystycznych jak i szerokie kręgi odbiorców.
