The Museu Nacional da Música, nestled within Lisbon's Palácio Nacional Ajuda, showcases Portugal’s rich musical past with an impressive collection of historical instruments. Cello built by Joaquim José Galrão, which belonged to King D. Luís I of Portugal and was part of the Portuguese Royal House collection. Galrão (or Galram, as he also signed) was a luthier that had its workshop in Lisbon during the 18th century, being considered the best Portuguese builder of violins and cellos of his time.
