His work in this field earned international recognition, including an exhibition at the Library of Congress in Washington, US. In the later stages of his career, he transitioned toward oil painting, gaining acclaim for his still life and flower paintings. These works, often characterized by an opulence of color and exquisite textures, frequently depicted subjects such as hibiscus and lantana. His landscapes and coastal scenes captured the essence of the Australian scenery, including the Sydney harbor and surrounding foreshores.
