Notably, she was recognized as one of the first Emirati students to pursue advanced education abroad—a pioneering accomplishment that broadened her intellectual horizons and instilled within her a critical awareness of global artistic trends while firmly anchoring her artistic practice within her cultural roots. This dedication to exploring marginalized voices and perspectives became a cornerstone of her artistic ethos. Prior to embarking on her academic endeavors, Al Suwaidi gained valuable experience at Dubai Holdings—a role that honed her organizational skills and provided insight into the commercial realities of the art world. Simultaneously, she served as a part-time lecturer at Zayed University, imparting knowledge and inspiring aspiring artists—demonstrating her commitment to fostering artistic talent within her community.
