          rockwell kent, ameerika maalur, grafikaartist, illustraator, kirjanik, meremeester ja seikluskunstnik, sündis 21. juunil 1882 Tarrytownis, New Yorkis. Inglise päritolu omav Kent veetis oma noorenk年a New Yorki piirkonnas, käimides Horace Manni kooli.
