During his time living in La Ruche, he frequented various artists, including Ossip Zadkine, Marc Chagall, and Alexander Altmann.

Military Service and Final Works
Following the outbreak of war, Deluc enlisted in the French army, initially serving as a nurse. He was later promoted to sergeant and subsequently to sub-lieutenant. His final artistic contributions consisted of sketches taken live in the trenches and during offensives. He fell during a reconnaissance near Souain-Perthes-lès-Hurlus. His legacy is also noted in music, as Maurice Ravel dedicated the Forlane, from the suite Le Tombeau de Couperin, to him.
