Parayarukandi Vettath Gangadharan, a name now imbued with the quiet reverence of a bygone era, was an Indian artist born in Kottakkal, Malappuram district, Kerala, in 1943. He passed away in 2023, leaving behind a legacy of luminous landscapes and a profound connection to the cultural heart of his homeland. More than simply a painter, Gangadharan acted as a visual translator, capturing the vibrant energy of Kerala’s landscape, its rich traditions, and the very essence of light into captivating narratives.
