gustavo pérez is a mexican artist born in mexico city in 1950. he studied engineering, mathematics and philosophy at the university of mexico and then enrolled at the design and crafts school in mexico city to study ceramics. pérez's ceramics have achieved worldwide recognition despite a modesty of means and scale. he is known for paying attention to small details in his work. pérez has had numerous exhibitions and his work is part of several permanent collections, including galerie capazza in france. he has been a permanent artist of galerie capazza since 2004.
