Attending Bassett Green School and later earning a scholarship to King Edward VI Grammar School, Meadus developed a meticulous eye for detail—a trait that would later define his draughtsman-like precision in painting. His life was marked by a series of transitions, from an apprenticeship at Vickers Armstrong to a transformative two-year sojourn in Canada.
