The Life of Edward Lepszy Born in Oświęcim, Poland, in 1855, Edward Ignacy Jan Lepszy grew up in a family deeply connected to the arts. His brother, Leonard, would eventually become a noted art historian, but Edward’s own path was carved through the quiet observation of people and landscapes.
