Elioth Gruner - En Pionjär inom Australiens Landskapsmålning Elioth Lauritz Leganyer Gruner föddes den 16 december 1882 i den småstäda Gisborne, Australien och var yngre son till Elliott Grüner, en norskfödd bailiff och hans irska mor Mary Ann Brennan. Familjen flyttade till Sydney innan Elioth nådde sitt första år och där möttes han tidigt av ett konstnärligt intresse som fostrades av sin mamma, som klokt ordnade för läxor med den välrenommerade Julian Ashton runt åldern 12 år.
