The Life and Versatility of Edward Carrick
Born in London, United Kingdom, Edward Carrick was a multifaceted artist whose career spanned the realms of film design, illustration, and fine art. He was the son of the theatre practitioner and stage designer Edward Gordon Craig and the violinist Elena Fortuna Meo. His artistic foundation was built while working alongside his father, eventually leading him to become a prominent art director for various film companies, including Associated Talking Pictures, Criterion Film, the Crown Film Unit, and Pinewood Studios. Beyond the silver screen, he was a writer and biographer, notably authoring a biography of his father titled Gordon Craig: the story of his life.
