The Life and Art of Amy Jones
Amy Jones was an American artist and muralist whose career spanned much of the twentieth century. Born in Buffalo, United States, she received her formal training at the Pratt Institute and the Albright Art Gallery. During the Great Depression, she participated in the Treasury Relief Art Project, securing commissions for post office murals in Winsted, Connecticut; Painted Post, New York; and Scotia, New York. Her diverse body of work also included illustrations for books and magazines, as well as designs for the Lake Placid Club.
