A Life of Exploration and Artistry

Upon returning to Montreal, he worked as a staff photographer for William Notman and joined the Geological Survey of Canada, which mapped the routes for the Canadian Pacific Railway.

His work was exhibited at prestigious venues, including the Paris Salon, the Royal Academy in London, and the National Academy of Design in New York City. His paintings were also commissioned by William Van Horne to depict scenes from various railroad routes for CPR hotels and offices.
