The Textured Legacy of Alan Reynolds
Alan Munro Reynolds (1926–2014) was a painter whose career traced a profound evolution from the tangible, sun-drenched landscapes of the British countryside to the enigmatic depths of pure abstraction. Born in Newmarket, Suffolk, into a world where his father worked as a stableman, Reynolds’ early life was rooted in the raw, physical reality of the English landscape.
