Barent (or Bernard) Pietersz Fabritius (16 November 1624 – 20 October 1673) was a significant, though relatively lesser-known, Dutch painter of the Baroque period. Fabritius primarily focused on biblical subjects—such as "The Presentation in the Temple" and "Abraham Dismissing Hagar and Ishmael"—mythological narratives, and historical scenes.
