Born in the small village of Vieiro, within the Freixiel region of northeast Portugal, Graça Morais Goih carries within her work the profound essence of the Trás-os-Montes landscape. Her artistic journey began with a childhood connection to color, sparked by a first box of watercolours gifted to her during her time in Mozambique. This early encounter with the medium laid the foundation for a career defined by
an intimate exploration of nature and the human experience. After studying at the Escola Superior de Belas-Artes do Porto, she expanded her horizons through a transformative period in Paris, where she engaged with the vibrant contemporary art scene and founded the Puzzle Group, a collective that brought together diverse artistic voices to present paintings, installations, and performances.
