Anton Sailer was a versatile German creator whose talents spanned the realms of painting, graphic arts, photography, and writing. Born in Munich, he began his artistic journey at the Munich School of Applied Arts, studying under professors Robert Engels and Willi Geiger. His formal training continued at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich under Franz Klemmer, before he moved to Paris to study at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière.

His literary and journalistic contributions were extensive, including work for Simplicissimus and the magazine Graphik, as well as a tenure as a freelance contributor for the Süddeutsche Zeitung.
