Born in Figueres, Girona, Antoni Pitxot was a Spanish Catalan painter who emerged from a family of artists, including his uncle Ramon Pichot. His formal training began at thirteen when he started studying drawing. His artistic practice involved a unique method where he would build sculptures from stones found along the seashores and then paint those sculptures in oil. The two were close friends and collaborators, working together to co-design the Dalí Theatre and Museum in Figueres, Spain. Following Dalí's death, Pitxot served as the museum's director and acted as a protector of Dalí's legacy through his involvement with the Gala Salvador Dalí Foundation and other Dalí foundations.
