The first volume consists of Yi Sun-sin’s writings and poems; the second volume contains a genealogy, records of conduct, posthumous epithets, epigraphic inscriptions for his memorial stone and for the monument commemorating the Battle of Myeongnyang; the third volume contains a chronicle of his life (haengnok); the fourth volume is on royal edicts (gyomyeong (敎命). Volume five and six consist of various addenda.
