Born in the vibrant, culturally rich landscape of Prague in 1966, Veronika Bromová has emerged as a profound voice in the realm of contemporary new-media art. As a young child, she served as a muse for the celebrated socialist realist sculptor Lidický; seeing herself immortalized in monumental form instilled an early understanding of how identity can be captured, sculpted, and presented to the world. This early exposure to the weight of visual expression laid the groundwork for an artist who would eventually move beyond the physical stone to explore the ephemeral, digital frontiers of the human condition.
As she matured, Bromová’s artistic trajectory shifted from the tangible to the technological. Graduating from the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague under the guidance of Professor Jiří Šalamoun, she became a pioneer of a new era.
