The sphere, rendered in a diamond-like shape, appears to float within a three-dimensional space created by the artist's masterful use of linear perspective. This technique, which was still relatively new during Uccello's time, involves the convergence of parallel lines towards a single vanishing point, creating an illusion of depth and spatial awareness.
