Before formal training ever took hold, Aggrey spent years in self-directed study, honing his observational skills through part-time artistic endeavors between 1995 and 2003. This period of solitary discovery laid the essential groundwork for a technique that would eventually bridge the gap between personal emotion and cultural heritage.
The trajectory of Aggrey’s career reached a transformative milestone in 2003 when he moved to Accra.
