giuseppe cino (also known as beppe cino) was an italian architect and sculptor of the baroque period. he was born in lecce, italy in 1645 and died in 1722. cino was a prominent figure in his hometown, where he worked on several notable projects, including the palazzo dei celestini and the church of santa chiara. he was also known for his work as a chronicler, writing the "memorie", a chronicle of events that took place in lecce between 1656 and 1719. cino's training took place under the guidance of giuseppe zimbalo, one of the great masters of the time. his style was characterized by a mix of imagination and rigid geometrics, which distinguished him from other architects of his era.
