The Opera Ceiling
1947. A massive undertaking unfolds at the Estonian National Opera. Sagrits is not working alone. Alongside Elmar Kits and Evald Okas, he faces the immense scale of the ceiling. The task requires a specific approach: Socialist Realism. This style demands a focus on the positive, the hopeful, and the communal. It is an art of strength, designed to reflect the lives of workers and farmers through a lens of optimism.

The life of Richard Sagrits concludes in Tallinn on December 11, 1968. Yet, the traces of his hand remain in the places that shaped him.
