His work transcends mere craftsmanship; it’s a powerful visual language steeped in cultural heritage, spiritual belief, and an undeniable creative force. Jolimeau didn't simply adopt this art form—he grew up within it, absorbing its rhythms and complexities from a young age. Croix-des-Bouquets was already a crucible of metal artistry, home to pioneers like Georges Liautaud and Murat Brierre, whose influence would profoundly shape the young artist’s path.

Jolimeau's artistic journey began with a formal apprenticeship under Seresier Louis-Juste after completing high school. This foundational training provided him with the technical skills necessary to manipulate steel, but it was his subsequent entry into Le Centre d’Art in 1972 that truly ignited his creative spirit.
