          tidligt liv og uddannelse

          Bernardo Strozzi, også kendt under de stemningsfulde navne il cappuccino og il prete genovese, var en fremtrædende italiensk barokmaler og rader, født i 1581 i Genova, Italien. Hans kunstneriske rejse begyndte i værkstedet hos Cesare Corte, en mindre kendt genovese-maler, hvis vejledning formede Strozzi, indtil 1596.
