Judit Reigl (née Némedy; 1 May 1923 – 6 August 2020) was a Hungarian-French painter who profoundly impacted the landscape of 20th-century art, particularly through her distinctive blend of Surrealist collage and Lyrical Abstraction. Born in Kapuvár, Hungary, Reigl’s artistic journey began at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts where she studied under István Szőnyi, absorbing the stylistic nuances of Hungarian painting traditions.
