Full Name: James Morrison Catchpole
Grew up in Cornwall after his family relocated.
Began playing guitar at age 12, influenced by his uncle who taught him blues riffs.
Started busking in Newquay and Truro, Cornwall, honing his skills as a performer.
Early musical influences included Al Green, Otis Redding, Cat Stevens, and The Kinks.

Rise to Fame and Undiscovered Success

Signed with Polydor Records after being discovered by producer Kev Andrews.
Supported Corinne Bailey Rae on tour, gaining valuable experience.
