Kenneth M. Adams: A Pioneer of Southwestern Landscape Painting

Kenneth Miller Adams (August 6, 1897 – Albuquerque, NM 1966) stands as a pivotal figure in the history of American art and particularly within the vibrant artistic community of Taos Pueblo and Northern New Mexico. Born in Topeka, Kansas, Adams possessed an early fascination with visual arts, diligently copying illustrations from library books—a habit that foreshadowed his lifelong dedication to capturing the essence of the Southwest landscape.
