Born on March 31, 1979, in Singapore, Prabal Gurung spent his formative years in Kathmandu, Nepal. After graduating from Parsons, Gurung honed his skills with experience at Cynthia Rowley’s design and production teams. This role provided invaluable experience in luxury fashion and laid the groundwork for launching his own eponymous label.
In 2009, Prabal Gurung launched his self-titled collection. His designs quickly gained recognition for their quality, innovation, and a unique blend of modern luxury with bold colors and feminine silhouettes. A commitment to craftsmanship and attention to detail became hallmarks of the brand.
