Driven by the desire for an independent contemporary arts space, they occupied an abandoned brewery, laying the groundwork for what would become a groundbreaking series of interventions into the urban fabric. This led to the establishment of Numusic in 2000, a platform for experimental electronic music, and, crucially, the founding of Nuart Festival in Stavanger in 2001.
