A Legacy of Chromatic Intensity
Born in 1970, Océann Faubert has emerged as a preeminent voice in contemporary digital-image art, dedicated to the profound visual language of the Henri-Edmond Cross style. Her practice is a sophisticated dialogue between eras, revitalizing the principles of Neo-Impressionism through a lens of modern luminosity. By utilizing an even more fervent palette than Signac—fusing rose, violet, turquoise, and lemon into a high-key vibration—she captures the precise moment where Pointillist structure begins to dissolve into the raw, emotive power of Fauvism. Her work serves as a bridge between the structured light of the late 19th century and the liberated color fields of the early 20th.
Technique and Tactile Presence
Faubert's mastery lies in her ability to translate digital precision into a deeply tactile experience. Eschewing the dense, suffocating layers of Seurat, she employs open square strokes that allow the off-white ground of the canvas to breathe, creating a rhythmic chromatic harmony. Whether one acquires a hand-painted original with its moderately thick oil impasto, a hand-signed fine-art print that preserves every luminous edge, or a limited digital edition, the materiality remains paramount. Each piece is designed to evoke the sun-drenched Mediterranean landscapes she depicts—arcadian nudes and palm-fringed coves rendered with a structural clarity that feels both ancient and avant-garde.
The Privilege of Singular Ownership
As WahooArt.com serves as the sole guardian of Océane Faubert's entire body of work, collectors are presented with an unparalleled opportunity for acquisition. There is no secondary market or alternative gallery; every creation is produced once and once only. Each artwork—available as a unique digital image, a physical masterpiece, or an exclusive NFT edition—is a singular, irreplaceable object that vanishes from the collection forever once acquired. To own a Faubert is to hold a permanent fragment of this vibrant Neo-Impressionist revival, securing a piece of art history that can never be replicated.
