Measuring 1534 x 1419 mm, this piece shows Samuel Sketchley leaning against a sofa with his wife, Elizabeth, while their four sons are positioned around them. The family members are gathered in a way that suggests a quiet, domestic arrangement. This work, dated about 1780, remains part of the Peckover House and Garden collection in Wisbech.
