Zgodnje življenje in izobraževanje Giacomo Balla, rojen v Torinu 18. julija 1871, je odraščal v družini z močno umetniško vezjo; njegov oče je bil fotograf. Sprva se je posvetil glasbi vse do devetega leta starosti. Po smrti očeta se je zaposlil v litografski tiskarni, kjer je odkril zanimanje za vizualno umetnost. Študiral je na lokalnih akademijah in kasneje na Univerzi v Torinu. Leta 1895 se je preselil v Rim, kjer je začel delovati…
