Paul Jackson Pollock, born in Cody, Wyoming, in 1912, was a restless spirit from the very beginning. His early life was marked by constant movement; his father, LeRoy Pollock, pursued work as a land surveyor across the vast landscapes of the American West, relocating the family frequently.
