sun k. kwak is a korean artist born in seoul in 1966. she currently lives and works in new york city. kwak received her ma in studio art at new york university (nyu) in 1997. she is known for her site-specific installations, sculptures, and drawings, often created with unconventional materials such as masking tape, thread, and vinyl. her work explores the themes of space, time, and movement, and challenges the traditional boundaries bet
