Born in Theydon Bois, Essex, in 1927, Anthony Fry emerged as a significant figure in British painting during the mid-20th century – an artist deeply attuned to the interplay of light, colour, and memory. Bryanston School further honed his skills under Donald Potter and Elizabeth Muntz, exposing him to sculpture and landscape painting respectively.
