Born Elise Amelie Felicie Stern in Vienna, Austria-Hungary—a city steeped in musical tradition thanks to Arnold Schönberg’s influence on her formative years—Model's life unfolded with remarkable complexity, marked by personal trauma and intellectual curiosity.
