Premières années et formation Pierre Bonnard, né à Fontenay-aux-Roses le 3 octobre 1867, a grandi dans un environnement privilégié grâce à la position de son père au sein du ministère de la Guerre. Son enfance fut marquée par une alternance entre Fontenay-aux-Roses et la propriété familiale du Grand-Lemps en Isère. Il manifeste très tôt des talents pour le dessin et l'aquarelle, ainsi qu’un penchant pour les caricatures.
