Úvod: Narodení do Umělecké Rodiny Valentin Alexandrovich Serov se narodil 19. ledna 1865 v Petrohradě, v srdci Ruska, do rodiny, která byla sama o sobě symbolem uměleckého dědictví. Jeho otcem byl Alexander Serov, uznávaný hudební skladatel a kritik, a matkou Valentína Valentina Bergmanová, talentovaná hudebnice s kořeny v Německu a Anglii.
