Duncan James Corrowr Grant, born in 1885 amidst the rugged beauty of Rothiemurchus Forest District in Scotland, embarked on a life that would indelibly mark the landscape of British art. His early years were far from conventional, shaped by his father’s military service and extended periods spent in India and Burma.
