charline von heyl, a german artist born in 1960, has been making waves in the art world with her abstract paintings. born to a german lawyer and french-born psychologist in mainz, von heyl grew up in bonn and later studied with jörg immendorff at hochschule für bildende künste hamburg and with fritz schwegler at kunstakademie düsseldorf.
