Chen Baiyi (1926 - 2014) is from Shaoyang, Hunan. He graduated from Huazhong Arts College in 1946. National first-class artist, professor, well-known meticulous figure painter and enjoys the special allowance of the State Council. He was a member of the Chinese Federation of Arts, the executive director of the Chinese Association of Arts, the vice-chairman and executive chairman of the Hunan Federation of Arts, the chairman of the Hunan Association of Arts, and the president of the Hunan Academy of Calligraphy and Painting. In March 2005, he was awarded the honorary title of
